Elizabeth Pearce

Elizabeth PearceA supporter of the Chi Omega Foundation for nearly 30 consecutive years, Elizabeth Pearce, Theta Gamma | Queens, finds the ease and flexibility of using a donor advised fund the ideal way to give back.

In recent years, Elizabeth has used her donor advised fund to support the Foundation. A donor advised fund, which is like a charitable savings account, gives Elizabeth the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to the Chi Omega Foundation and other qualified charities.

When she established a donor advised fund with her financial institution, Elizabeth received a federal income tax charitable deduction for the amount of her gift. With a donor advised fund, Elizabeth has all the time she needs to decide what charities to support. “A donor advised fund was an easy way to manage our tax situation as well as benefit Chi Omega,” says Elizabeth. “I set mine up, linked to my brokerage account, and it couldn't be easier or more convenient.”

“I am a strong believer in supplying scholarship and financial aid to my Sisters,” says Elizabeth. It was an easy decision to use her donor advised fund to support Chi Omega. “College is getting more expensive every year and I am delighted to provide assistance to those who deserve and need it. Chi O's emphasis on developing leadership skills and promoting community service means a lot to me.”

Elizabeth’s support, and support from donors like you, ensures we can continue to provide collegians and alumnae with the support and guidance they need to seek more and do more, while cultivating a lifetime of purpose.

Elizabeth is an alumna of the Theta Gamma chapter of Chi Omega at Queens University, where she served as G.H., a member of The 1895 Society since 2009, and a member of the Margaret Hyde Heritage Society, which recognizes those who include the Foundation in their estate plans.
