Firesides Leadership Training 2023 was the perfect reminder of what it means to be a Chi Omega. Chi Omega is friendship and a place to belong when you are a freshman, when you are a senior, and when you are 80 years old.

Fraternity National President Laura Miller consistently reminded us to love Chi Omega more than we do Chi Omega. We easily get caught up in the balloon arches and hitting total and sometimes forget why we are even doing those things in the first place.

We joined Chi Omega to find women who will make sure we are waking up for class, who are there through all the breakups, and who celebrate EVERY victory.

When I joined, I can confidently say that I was searching for something I didn’t even realize I was missing. I have gained not only the most amazing friends and family, but I found a purpose in Chi Omega.

The Sigma Zeta chapter reminds me that I am human, but I am loved through every failure and every success. They hold me accountable and push me to grow into the best person I can be.

After coming home from Firesides, I promised my chapter and myself that I would lead them all as people first and members second. I love Chi Omega today even more than I loved it when I joined my freshman year. Chi Omega lives up to ALL of its promises to be a Sisterhood on purpose.

Your gift ensures we can continue making an impact on future generations of Chi Omega Sisters. Contact Executive Vice President Sally Stephens Kimball at 901.748.8600 or sally.kimball@chiomega.com to learn how you can make a lasting impact.
